Box Score Cincinnati, Ohio - The Franklin College women's lacrosse team scored four second-half goals in a 14-6 road loss to Mount St. Joseph University on Wednesday in Ohio River Women's Lacrosse Conference (ORWLC) play.
MSJ's Madie Long scored the first two goals in the first five minutes of the match. Franklin (5-4, 3-2 ORWLC) got on the scoreboard on a goal from junior Hannah Grow (Morton, Ill./Morton) at the 24:02 mark of the second half. Senior Presleigh Hobbs (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) set up the scoring chance.
The Lions scored seven straight goals to take a 9-1 lead with seven minutes remaining in the first half. The Grizzlies found the back of the net with 4:28 left in the period on a goal from senior Carley Campbell (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) after receiving a pass from junior Lexi Ingram (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington South).
MSJ led 10-2 at the break and the teams alternated goals during the second 30-minute period.
Grow led Franklin's offensive attack with two goals. Hobbs and Ingram each scored one goal and an assist in the match.
Senior Megan Rhotan (Blackford, Ind./Hartford City) registered a team-high four ground balls. Junior Alysia Fundnerburg (La Puente, Calif./Walnut) picked up three ground balls and caused three turnovers.
