Volleyball Loses Road HCAC Match to Rose-Hulman

Terre Haute, Ind. - The Franklin College volleyball team lost three hard-fought sets to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) unbeaten Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (25-20, 26-24, 25-21) on Wednesday.

The Grizzlies (11-8, 1-2 HCAC) were led by junior Amanda Lelivelt with 10 kills compared to three hitting errors. Freshman Kennedy Surface added seven kills, while junior Brooke Harvey and freshman Jenna Spini each had six kills in the match.

Senior Ashley Bazier registered 17 assists, while freshman Nico Morris had 14 assists and 10 digs.

Defensively, sophomore Libby Stahl led Franklin with 18 digs. Surface recorded 12 digs to round out the team's balanced performance.

Franklin returns to action on Saturday, October 8 at 7:30 p.m. when it hosts Anderson University in HCAC action during the college's Homecoming inside the Spurlock Center.
