Box Score Bluffton, Ohio - Senior Katie Brewer (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) scored 20 points, but it not enough as the Franklin College women's basketball team lost 75-56 at Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) leader Bluffton University on Saturday.
Bluffton improved to 17-0 and 10-0 in league play. The hosts shot 53.6 percent in the game and made 7 of its 14 three-point field goal attempts.
Brewer led Franklin (11-6, 7-3 HCAC) with 20 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore Kelsey Smith (Lexington, Ind./Scottsburg) added 13 points. Freshman Maddie O'Day (Plainfield, Ind./Plainfield) scored eight points off the bench.
Bluffton led 21-13 after the first quarter and held a 39-29 advantage at intermission. The Beavers scored 18 points during each of the third and fourth quarters to pick up the victory.
