Box Score Hanover, Ind. - The Franklin College volleyball team lost a non-conference road contest at Hanover College 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-22) on Tuesday night from Collier Arena.
The Grizzlies closed out September with a 9-4 record and stands 11-6 overall.
Senior Jordan Finke (Indianapolis, Ind./Lutheran) led the team with eight kills. Junior Emily Young (Avon, Ind./Avon) added seven kills and classmate Kourtney Settle (Vallonia, Ind./Brownstown Central) chipped in six kills.
Junior Mackenzie Wieneke (Seymour, Ind./Seymour) had a team-high 10 digs in the match. She is the reigning Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Sophomore Ashley Bazier (Terre Haute, Ind./Terre Haute South) recorded 21 assists and added seven digs.
Franklin is 2-0 in league play and travels to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Saturday, October 4. The team plays the host Fightin' Engineers at noon before falling Illinois Institute of Technology at 2 p.m.
