Box Score Louisville, Ky. - The Franklin College volleyball team lost its non-conference finale at Spalding University in three sets on Wednesday.
The Grizzlies stand 15-12 on the season and close out the regular season with a triangular meet against Anderson University and Trine University on Saturday, November 1 from the Spurlock Center.
A victory over Anderson will secure the team the No. 4 seed and hosting rights for an opening-round contest in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament.
Senior Jordan Finke (Indianapolis, Ind./Lutheran) led the team's offensive effort with six kills against Spalding. Freshman Amanda Lelivelt (Chippewa Falls, Wis./Riverside Brookfield) also recorded six kills.
Sophomore Ashley Bazier (Terre Haute, Ind./Terre Haute South) disributed 18 assists.
Junior Mackenzie Wieneke (Seymour, Ind./Seymour) led the defense's performance with 18 digs.
Saturday's match against Anderson will begin at 11 a.m. with the team facing Trine at 3 p.m. Prior to the first contest the program will honor seniors Montanea Daniels (Indianapolis, Ind./Providence Cristo Rey) and Finke.
