Franklin College

2015: Moved to the defensive back after playing as a wide receiver for his first two seasons...ranked fifth on the team with 45 tackles...started all 11 games for team that won the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference title and advanced to the NCAA Division III playoffs...tallied 37 solo tackles and assisted on eight tackles...had a career-high 12 tackles and first collegiate interception in playoff contest against Ohio Northern (11/21)...added eight tackles against NCAA Division I Butler (9/12)...tallied six stops in conference victorries against Manchester (10/3) and Rose-Hulman (10/24).

2014: Appeared in six games and had eight receptions for 161 yards...caught two passes for 104 yards in the team's win over Anderson (9/20)...both of his receptions against Anderson went for touchdowns...also saw two passes against Wisconsin-Whitewater (9/13) and Bluffton (9/27)...helped team win its fifth consecutive HCAC title.

2013: Caught three touchdowns and had 12 receptions as a freshman...played in nine games...had a career-high three catches for 84 yards and a score against Anderson (10/19)...caught two passes each against Manchester (9/21), Mount St. Joseph (10/12) and Defiance (11/2)...had a touchdown reception against Manchester, Anderson and Defiance.

High School: Named the Offensive Player of the Week at Vanguard High School...graduated with academic honors.

Personal: Majors in sociology with a minor in nonprofit leadership...son of Alan Thornton and Chalon Manning.
