2013: Backup quarterback who appeared in six games during junior season...threw two touchdowns and gained 158 yards and 22 carries on the season...had 11 carries for 62 yards against Mount Union (9/7)...was 3-for-6 for 54 yards and a score against Manchester (9/21)...also threw a touchdown against Earlham (9/28)...scored only rushing touchdown of the season against Earlham...had two rushes in team's NCAA Division III second-round playoff game at Wisconsin-Whitewater.

2012: Served as backup quarterback and appeared in all 12 games as a sophomore...went 7-for-8 for 51 yards at Butler (9/8)...completed all three passes in a home Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference victory against Rose-Hulman (10/20)...tossed for a career-high 92 yards against Rose-Hulman...had two touchdown passes, recording one each against Butler and Rose-Hulman...rushed for 64 yards and a score in a road conference victory against Anderson (10/13)...gained a career-high 81 yards and rushed for two touchdowns in a home win over Earlham (9/22).

2011: Appeared in four games as the backup quarterback during freshman season...went 9-for-13 with 75 yards and one touchdown pass...was 3-for-5 in a home conference victory against Anderson (10/29)...also had three completions at Earlham (11/5).

High School: Three-sport athlete at Forest Park...named football, basketball and baseball Most Valuable Players.

Personal: Majors in secondary mathematics education and pure mathematics...son of Greg and Linda Welp...Dean's List student and named to President's List during Spring 2013 semester.
