Steve McNeely

A long-time veteran at the Division III level, McNeely joins the Grizzlies after five seasons on staff at Guilford College (NC), where he served as both offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. During his time with the Quakers, McNeely guided a pair of offenses that ranked in the top-five in yards per game, with Guilford finishing fourth overall in 2018 at 526.2 yards per contest and fifth overall in 2015 at 523.1 yards per game.

His first stop on the coaching trail came at his alma mater, Division III powerhouse University of Mount Union, where he was coached the quarterbacks and wide receivers from 2012-14. During that time, the Purple Raiders claimed the 2012 national championship and advanced to the title game in 2013 and 2014.

Additionally, he helped guide Mount Union quarterback Kevin Burke to the 2013 and 2014 Gagliardi Award as the most outstanding player in Division III. In his first year at Guilford, quarterback Matt Pawlowski was named a finalist for the same award.
