When Franklin women's soccer needed an offensive boost to get over the hump last week, senior Lauren Barker was there to deliver.

Her conference peers took notice.

Barker was named the HCAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after helping the Grizzlies to a home split during Homecoming week.

The Columbus, Indiana native scored a pair of goals in the final 5:22 of the second half to secure a 3-1 win over Earlham. She crashed the net to convert a Trinity Inglert cross for the go-ahead goal and then added a long-range insurance tally in the 89th minute.

Barker also assisted on Brooke Barnum's first collegiate goal in a Friday match against Anderson. She currently leads Franklin with four goals this season and is tied with Inglert for the team lead in assists (three).

This marks the second time that Barker has earned weekly conference recognition in her career; she had previously earned Offensive Player of the Week accolades last September after a three-goal outburst against Muskingum.
