When Franklin quarterback
Marshall Kmiecik knows he absolutely, positively has to make a play, he can usually bank on
Owen Wright to help him come through.
Wright delivered in some big moments during Saturday's Homecoming thriller against Mount St. Joseph, and as a result he earned his second HCAC Offensive Player of the Week award of the season.
The senior receiver was spectacular against the Lions, hauling in nine passes for a career-high 168 yards. He had a pair of go-ahead touchdown grabs in the fourth quarter, the latter coming in triple coverage with 1:34 left on the clock to help Franklin to a 36-35 lead.
A native of Greenwood, Indiana, Wright was also the league's Offensive Player of the Week after a season-opening triumph against North Park.Â
On the season, Wright has 24 receptions with team highs of 437 yards and seven touchdowns. The Grizzlies travel to Manchester this Saturday.
