1/31/2026 8:18:00 PM

Saturday's dual meet against Bluffton didn't offer a lot of drama, but it did deliver plenty of opportunities to celebrate.

Competing in its final dual meet of the season, Franklin swimming and diving took first in every event while coasting to home wins over Bluffton, with the men taking a 155-2 victory and the women finishing on top by a 181-15 margin. The meet marked the end of a perfect 6-0 season for both in HCAC dual-meet action.

Both Griz squads swept the 400-yard medley and 200 freestyle relays. The women also got individual first-place finishes from Macie McQuinn (200 freestyle, 100 backstroke), Kat Lundy (50 and 500 free), Celeste Hollis (200 individual medley, 100 breaststroke), Kaleigh Schuler (1- and 3-meter diving), Landi Newcomb (100 butterfly) and Petal Sloan (100 free). The men got wins from Zachary Jackson-Blaine (200 free, 100 breast), Isaac Layton (50 free, 100 back), Will Johnson (200 IM, 500 free), Keaton Stephenson (100 fly) and Sam Hittel (100 free).

The Grizzlies will take the next week and a half to prepare for the HCAC Championships, which will take place in Terre Haute from Feb. 11-14.
