Franklin swimming and diving challenged itself against a deeper Division I opponent last weekend and held its own. The rest of the HCAC took notice.

The Grizzlies won three of the conference's four weekly awards on Tuesday, with senior Celeste Hollis earning women's Swimmer of the Week honors and Sargio Canarini and Alexis Fleming sweeping the Diver of the Week awards.

Hollis, an NCAA qualifier last winter, won the 200-yard butterfly against Valparaiso with a time of 2:16.81, finishing nearly four seconds ahead of the field. She also swam on a pair of Griz relays.

On the 1-meter diving board, Canarini earned his first collegiate victory with a score of 258.20 points. Fleming, who was named the conference's top female diver for the second week in a row, was the women's winner with 230.80 points.

The Grizzlies return to action this Friday with a dual meet at Lake Forest.
