Franklin coach
Brandon Dworak saw a breakout year coming from sophomore
William Hirsch. So far, his vision seems like an accurate one.
Hirsch was named the HCAC Athlete of the Week in men's cross country after earning the first individual victory of his collegiate career at the Hanover Invitational on Saturday. His time of 20 minutes, 3.60 seconds over the 6-kilometer course was nearly 17 seconds ahead of Boyce's Alex Morton (20:20.30).
In addition, Hirsch's win helped the Grizzly men secure the team title for the second consecutive year.
The Grizzlies are now off until Oct. 4, when they will compete at the Louisville Cross Country Classic.
