FRANKLIN – The Franklin College baseball team took to their home turf on Monday (Apr. 7) afternoon to face off with the Manchester Spartans and close out the weekend three-game conference series.
The Grizzlies (13-12, 5-5 HCAC) dropped the Monday afternoon showdown, with the Spartans (15-8, 6-3 HCAC) taking a 13-4 to claim the series win.
Manchester claimed the advantage for good with three runs in both the second and third innings to open up a 6-0 lead. Franklin's offense produced 12 hits and worked six free passes in the game, but the Grizzlies left 13 runners on base on the afternoon.
Dyllan Redmon went 4-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored.
Alex Billman went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and
Garrett DeHart knocked in two Franklin runs on the afternoon. Each member in the 1-8 spots in the Franklin lineup finished with at least one base hit.
Brayden Marrow (0-2) got the start and logged 2.2 innings before turning things over to the bullpen.

Jordan DeAtley and
Damian Tillie all saw action out of the bullpen.
