FRANKLIN – The Franklin men's tennis team made their home debut on Friday (Feb. 28) afternoon, taking on the Millikin Big Blue at Grizzly Park.
Franklin (5-4) remained in search of the first win of 2025, falling to Millikin (4-1) by a 5-2 score.
Franklin got their points in singles play, with
Owen Pickerill taking a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 5 singles and
Lucas Densford claiming an uncontested win at No. 6 singles. But the remaining six contested matches all went to the visitors, that included both of the doubles matches on tap.
Next up for the Grizzlies is a trip to Greenville, Ill. next Friday (Mar. 7) for a matchup with the Greenville Panthers. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m.
