INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Franklin women's tennis team kicked off their spring schedule on Saturday (Feb. 22) morning, taking on Division II opponent Kentucky Wesleyan at the West Indy Racquet Club.
 
The Grizzlies (2-6) got their new year started off with a win, holding on to knock off the Panthers by a 4-3 score.
 
Down by a point after Kentucky Wesleyan claimed both doubles wins, the Grizzlies picked up all their points with individual victories. 
Ailyn Hendricks claimed a 6-0, 7-6 (7-4) victory at the No. 1 singles spot and after winning by default at both the five and six positions in the lineup, 
Brenna Atchison sealed the win by winning 6-1, 6-2 at No. 4 singles.

The Grizzlies hit the road for their next three matches, with the first coming next Saturday (Mar. 1) in a conference match against the Hanover Panthers. First serve is set for 10:00 a.m.
