INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Franklin women's tennis team kicked off their spring schedule on Saturday (Feb. 22) morning, taking on Division II opponent Kentucky Wesleyan at the West Indy Racquet Club.
 
The Grizzlies (2-6) got their new year started off with a win, holding on to knock off the Panthers by a 4-3 score.
 
Down by a point after Kentucky Wesleyan claimed both doubles wins, the Grizzlies picked up all their points with individual victories. Ailyn Hendricks claimed a 6-0, 7-6 (7-4) victory at the No. 1 singles spot and after winning by default at both the five and six positions in the lineup, Brenna Atchison sealed the win by winning 6-1, 6-2 at No. 4 singles.
