INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Franklin men's tennis team kicked off their spring schedule on Saturday (Feb. 22) morning, taking on Division II opponent Kentucky Wesleyan at the West Indy Racquet Club.
The Grizzlies (5-3) suffered a narrow setback in their first match of 2025, with the Panthers rallying in singles play to take a 4-3 decision.
Franklin claimed the doubles points with a pair of team victories. No. 2 pair
Lucas Densford and
Ezra Schwier were 7-5 winners, a score matched by
Shay Kyser and
Nathan Jarboe in their win at No. 3 doubles.
In solo action,
Dustin Garrison was a 6-1, 6-2 winner at No. 2 singles with
Jaden Wells taking a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles. But the Panthers went on to claim the other four head-to-head matchups, stealing the victory.
