Nearly every time out on the course this fall,
William Hirsch has managed to outdo himself. This past weekend was no exception.
The Franklin sophomore was named the HCAC Athlete of the Week in men's cross country for the second time this fall after turning in a personal-best performance at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble on Saturday.
Hirsch crossed the finish line 20th in the loaded 223-runner field, posting a time of 26:06.5 on the 8-kilometer course. The performance eclipse his previous best 8K time (26:28.2) by nearly 22 seconds.
Next up for Hirsch will be the HCAC Championships, which will be held at Blue River Memorial Park in Shelbyville, Indiana on Nov. 1. The Grizzlies will be the host school for the event.
