ANDERSON, Ind. – The Franklin men's basketball team faced a big test on Wednesday (Jan. 22) night, facing off with the Anderson Ravens in a meeting of the two teams tied atop the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC).
Franklin (12-5, 8-2 HCAC) got a double-double from
Jessie Morgan III, but saw their six-game winning streak and eight-game HCAC unbeaten run come to an end as Anderson (13-4, 9-1 HCAC) held home court for a 77-62 win.
How it Happened
The Grizzlies came out firing and scored the game's first eight points, holding Anderson without a field goal for the opening four minutes. The Ravens would battle back into the game and the contest hit a turning point with seven minutes to play in the first half, with Franklin managing just one field goal during that time and the Ravens racing out to a 37-30 lead at the break.
Anderson pushed the lead into double figures early in the second half and didn't let off the gas, with the hosts rolling to victory.
