GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Franklin College volleyball team continued their season-opening road swing on Tuesday (Sept. 10) night, taking on in-state rival DePauw.
The Grizzlies (3-6) would fall in straight sets to the Tigers (4-3), with DePauw taking sets by scores of 25-17, 25-10, 25-21.
Franklin was paced by a 10-kill performance from junior
Kaitlyn Lavy, followed by five put-aways from freshman
Arabella Shepherd. Sophomore
Brionna Linkel led the setters with 12 helpers on the night.
Hope Moring led the service line with three aces while Lavy topped the back line defense with five digs. At the front of the net, junior
Trinity Schroeder led the blockers with a pair of rejections.
Franklin gets back on the court on Friday (Sept. 13) night, for night one of the Manchester Invitational in North Manchester, Ind. Franklin will face off with Saint Mary's (Ind.) at 6:00 p.m.
