FRANKLIN – The Franklin women's lacrosse team continued a three-game homestand on Saturday (Mar. 9) afternoon, hosting the Kalamazoo Hornets at Faught Stadium.
The Grizzlies (1-2) fell behind early and played from behind all afternoon, with the Hornets (4-1) taking the game by an 18-1 score.
Mia Turnbaugh found the back of the net for Franklin with
Kara Woodard chipping in with an assist.
Shot attempts were 33-14 in the Hornets' favor, with Franklin freshman goalkeeper
Jamie Schlieper stopping eight shots in between the pipes. Turnbaugh led Franklin with six shot attempts, three shots on goal and three ground balls recovered.
Franklin closes out the current homestand next Saturday (Mar. 16), when they host Concordia Wisconsin. The opening draw is set for 1:00 p.m.
