LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Franklin softball team returned to action after an 11-day layoff on Thursday (Mar. 28) afternoon, taking on Spalding University in a double-header.
The Grizzlies (9-5) dropped both ends of the double-header, falling to the Golden Eagles (8-12) by scores of 6-2 and 6-1.
Game One: Spalding 6 – Franklin 2
The Grizzlies got off to a great start, getting an RBI double from

Game Two: Spalding 6 – Franklin 1
The hosts took control of the game with a three-run home run in the bottom of the third and Franklin was kept off the board until the sixth thanks to an RBI single from
Karrsen Pruitt. Franklin would end up leaving nine runners on base in game two, leaving multiple runners on in the fourth, sixth and seventh innings, respectively.
Eriana Wagner and
Kendall Lowry had two hits each and
Ruth Kaiser scored the Grizzlies' lone run.
