ADRIAN, Mich. – The Franklin women's lacrosse team hit the road on Saturday (Mar. 23) for a non-conference matchup with the Adrian Bulldogs.
The Grizzlies (1-4) dropped their matchup with the Bulldogs (4-3), with Adrian taking the game by an 18-2 count.
Franklin got fourth quarter goals from
Bella Frye and
Mia Turnbaugh to make up the team scoring. Frye was all over the field in the game, leading Franklin with five shot attempts, four shots on goal, eight caused turnovers and seven draw controls. Frye,
Jillian Schlieper and
Jamie Schlieper all had three ground balls each to tie for the team lead.
In goal,
Jamie Schlieper turned back seven shots on goal. Both
Abby Moore and
Kara Woodard had three turnovers caused each.
Franklin is back in action on Tuesday, Apr. 2, when they host the Centre Colonels in the team's final non-conference game of the season. The opening draw from Faught Stadium is set for 6:00 p.m.
