FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin men's basketball team was back in the Spurlock Center on Wednesday (Dec. 4) night, hosting the Anderson Ravens in the team's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) opener.
The Grizzlies (3-3, 0-1 HCAC) had four players finish the night in double figures, led by 18 from senior
Malachi Archey. But the Ravens (5-2, 1-0 HCAC) rode a 51.6% (33-for-64) shooting performance to a 99-85 win.
How it Happened
The game stayed close for the opening 10 minutes and Franklin headed into the home stretch of the first half facing a 25-21 deficit with 9:27 to go in the opening frame. But the Ravens would dominate leading into the break, out-scoring the Grizzlies 27-9 the rest of the half to take a 52-30 lead into the locker room.
The hosts would get no closer than 13 points away in the final half of the ball game.
