FRANKLIN - The Franklin men's tennis team brought their fall schedule to a close on Thursday (Oct. 10) afternoon, closing it out with a win in a dominant 7-0 victory over Indiana East.
The Grizzlies close the fall slate at 5-2 overall after shutting out the Red Wolves for their second straight victory.
Doubles play saw Franklin win a pair of 6-0 contests, with the top pairing of
Lucas Densford and
Ezra Schwier joined by number two pairing of
Brendan Hanner and
Clark Hersam in victory.
Singles play saw the Grizzlies win all five matchups in straight sets. Hersam won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 singles followed by a 6-4, 6-1 win at the second spot by
Jaden Wells.
Owen Pickerill claimed a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles followed by Hanner winning 6-1, 6-2 at No. 4 and Densford winning 6-0, 6-3 at the fifth spot. Schwier was a winner by default to round out the lineup.
Franklin is off until competition resumes in the spring. The 2025 portion of the schedule will be released at a later date.
