RECAP | Men's Swimming & Diving Bests Titans in Regular Season Finale

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Franklin men's swimming and diving team closed out the regular season on Saturday (Jan. 27) afternoon with a road dual matchup against Illinois Wesleyan.
 
Franklin moved to 6-3 in head-to-head matchups in the regular season with a 177-104 win over the Titans. The Grizzlies won 11 of the day's 16 events, with eight different Grizzlies winning either an individual or relay event.
 
Finding their way into the winner's circle on Saturday were:
-Nick Coy in the 1000 free (11:02.30)
-Jack Burke in the 100 backstroke (55.02) and 200 backstroke (2:03.04)
-JC Chappell in the 200 breaststroke (2:20.17)
-Kosmo Wojack in the 200 butterfly (1:58.46), 100 butterfly (53.45) and 400 IM (4:21.99)
-Zachary Jackson-Blaine in the 50 free (21.47)
-Cameron Baker on the 1-meter (272.05) and 3-meter (253.95) boards
-200 free relay of Jackson-Blaine, Owen Baker, Kaden Cummins and Stone Conaway (1:29.39)
 
Grizzlies taking runner-up finishes included:
-Will Johnson in the 200 free (1:50.42) and 200 backstroke (2:08.60)
-Burke in the 500 free (5:11.26)
-Chappell in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.06)
-Jackson-Blaine in the 100 free (49.76)
-Phoenix Simons on the 1-meter (171.85) and 3-meter (159.05) boards
-200 medley relay of Johnson, Wojack, Conaway and Jackson-Blaine (1:40.06)
