GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Franklin men's soccer team played their first away match of the season on Wednesday (Sept. 6) night, making the short trip to Reavis Stadium for a meeting with the DePauw Tigers.
An early goal from the home side proved to be all the scoring necessary, as Franklin (0-2) couldn't get an equalizer before the final whistle in a 1-0 DePauw (3-0) win.
The Tigers got the game's lone goal just 2:36 in and Franklin's two best scoring chance wouldn't come until the second half but Franklin's
Theo Sasso wasn't able to convert on either attempt.
Ian Rowe made two stops in goal for Franklin in making his 18
th straight start between the pipes for the Grizzlies. Freshman
Easton Terry made his first career appearance in goal in the second half, making a pair of saves. Terry was one of two players to make their season debut, with senior
Dillon Neel logging 17 minutes as a reserve.
Franklin is back in action on Saturday (Sept. 9) afternoon, heading to Chicago for a meeting with Illinois Tech. Kick-off is set for 4:30 p.m. eastern time.
