FRANKLIN – The Franklin men's tennis team continued non-conference play on Tuesday (Mar. 21) evening, taking on the Marian Knights at Grizzly Park.
Franklin (3-8) headed in to singles play facing a one-point deficit, but the Knights (13-7) controlled singles competition by taking all six one-on-one matchups in an 8-1 win for the visiting side.
All three doubles matchups were tightly contested and the third pairing of
Nathan Jarboe and
Shay Kyser teamed up to take their matchup 8-5. But the Knights grabbed other two points and kept that momentum into singles play, where they won all six points in straight sets.
Franklin hits the road on Thursday (Mar. 23) to take on Scots of Maryville College at 4:00 p.m.
