GREENSBORO, N.C. – Making his first trip to face off with the top swimmers from around the country, Franklin College junior 
Kosmo Wojack made history over the course of four swims at the 2023 NCAA Championships on Mar. 16-18.
 
The Mililani, Hi.-native became the first male swimmer in school history to earn All-American status for his efforts at the NCAA Championships. In addition, Wojack set three new program and conference records over his four swims after taking part in the 100 butterfly, 200 butterfly and 200 breaststroke.
 
Wojack earned All-American status on Friday, when he placed 10
th in the prelims of the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:48.11, securing Second Team All-American honors. In the consolation finals later that night, Wojack blew past his morning time with a mark of 1:47.08, finishing in 10
th place overall and recording the sixth-fastest time among all competitors.
 
That secured Wojack's status as the first male swimmer to claim All-American honors at Nationals. Charlie Hall was named an All-American in 2021 after qualifying for nationals, but the championships were canceled.
 
Wojack opened up competition on Thursday with the 100 butterfly that saw him finish in 25
th overall and set the new program record with a time of 49.01. That broke his own program record of 49.43 set early in the 2022-23 season at the Wabash Pebworth Invitational.
 
Saturday saw Wojack take part in the 200 breaststroke and although his weekend came to an end with a 26
th place finish, he shattered his previous best time in the event and broke former teammate 
Paul Klaeren's record with a time of 2:03.13.
