CARMEL, Ind. - Three members of the Franklin men's basketball team were rewarded for their efforts in 2022-23 with selections to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Honorable Mention team on Wednesday (Feb. 22) morning.
Senior
Carter Crowe was joined by sophomores
Ryan Bostic and
Lynn King on the league's all-conference teams, with all three collecting the first all-conference award of their respective careers.
Crowe capped off his playing career by leading the Grizzlies in scoring with 12.5 points per game, shooting 49% from the field and a team-high 43% from behind the three-point line. The Greenwood, Ind.-native recorded the first 30-point game of his career back in December, netting himself the first HCAC Player of the Week award of his career. Crowe led all Franklin players with 18 games in double figures and added 3.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game to his stat line.
King started 24 of the team's 26 games, ranking second on the team with 10.8 points and a team-leading 8.2 rebounds per contest, with the latter number ranking third-best among all HCAC players. The South Bend, Ind.-native shot 48% from the floor while finishing second on the team with 60 assists and 13 blocks. Additionally, his five double-doubles were tops on the team.
Bostic inserted himself into the rotation in his second year, appearing in 24 games with seven starts and serving primarily as the team's sixth man. The Indianapolis-native averaged 10.4 points per game, shooting 43.5% from the field and 39.1% from long range. He added 52 assists and finished econd on the team with 29 steals on the year.
Franklin finished the season 13-13, going 9-9 in HCAC play.
