FRANKLIN – The Franklin women's basketball team wrapped up their regular season schedule on Tuesday (Feb. 14) night, taking on the Mount St. Joseph Lions inside the Spurlock Center.

Jordan Coon finished with a game-high 16 points and
Jasmine Walker had 12 points and 12 rebounds for the first double-double of her career. But the Grizzlies (8-16, 7-11 HCAC) came up on the short end of a defensive battle, falling to the Lions (13-9, 10-5 HCAC) 62-54.
How it Happened
With the Grizzlies leading 8-6 and five minutes off the clock, the Lions rattled off a 9-2 run to close out the opening frame and lead 15-10 through one. The Grizzlies bounced back with a strong second quarter shooting the ball, going 5-for-11 from the floor to get back to even come halftime at 27-27.
Both teams connected for just four field goals in the third but the Lions used eight free throws to their advantage to take a 45-37 lead into the final quarter. The Grizzlies made a furious push to get back within 56-52 with 3:25 to go, but Franklin's comeback bid was halted as the Griz went the rest of the night without a field goal.
