FRANKLIN – The Franklin volleyball team closed out the regular season on Saturday (Nov. 4) night, taking on the Earlham Quakers inside the Spurlock Center.
The Grizzlies (8-18, 2-7 HCAC) closed out their season with a four-set loss to the Quakers (10-17, 4-5 HCAC), with Earlham taking the match 25-18, 31-29, 23-25, 25-18.
Franklin's attack was paced by sophomore
Hope Moring who hit .367 with a team-high 15 kills while chipping in with 10 assists and five digs. Junior
Miranda Wilson finished the night with 11 kills followed by seven from
McKenzie Schroeder and six from middles
Chloe Holder and
Alyssa Zemlyak.
Senior
Sofia Helton led Franklin with 20 assists followed by 14 from
Brionna Linkel.
Campbell Clark had team-highs with 13 digs and three assists while
Kamzi Gross added 11 digs on the back line. Holder and Zemlyak led the front line with three blocks each, with all of Holders coming in solo fashion.
