RECAP | Four Grizzlies Hit Double Figures in Loss to Colonels

DANVILLE, Ky. – The Franklin men's basketball team wrapped up a four-game road trip on Tuesday (Nov. 28) night, taking on the Centre Colonels.

Four Grizzlies (2-4) finished the night in double figures, but Franklin was done in by a Colonels (3-3) side that shot 22 more free throws in a 95-85 Centre win.

How it Happened
A back-and-forth first half saw the Grizzlies lead by as may as eight points, but a late first half run from the Colonels sent the home side into the break with a 45-42 lead.

The Grizzlies kept the game close throughout the second half and only trailed by a pair at 76-74 with six minutes to play. But the Griz couldn't rally to overtake the Colonels and Centre closed things out down the stretch with clutch free throw shooting.

-Jack Hendricks added 13 points and freshman Braylon Russell chipped in with 10 points off the bench.
-Franklin's reserves outscored the Centre bench by a 49-17 count.
-The Colonels finished the night with a decided edge at the line, going 27-for-31 at the stripe to Franklin's 5-for-9 effort.
-The Grizzlies shot 50.8% (33-for-65) on the night, burying a season-high 14 three-pointers.
-Rebounds were 37-28 in Centre's favor, with Russell's four board leading all Grizzlies.
