TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Franklin volleyball team wrapped up a two-game road trip on Tuesday (Oct. 24) night, taking on the Rose-Hulman Engineers.
Franklin (7-16, 1-5 HCAC) fell short in their bid for a big road win, falling to the Engineers (13-11, 3-3 HCAC) in three sets, 25-18, 25-14, 25-19. Each of the three sets saw the Grizzlies fall victim to a long Engineer run, with Rose rattling off six straight points at least once in all three games.
Freshman
Brionna Linkel turned in a double-double with 18 assists and 17 digs. She was joined in double digit kill totals by
Kamzi Gross and
Campbell Clark, who finished with 11 and 10, respectively.
Miranda Wilson led the offense with eight kills, but Franklin's attack struggled to get going all night and finished with a hitting percentage of -.009 to .138 for the Engineers.
Franklin is back in action on Saturday (Oct. 28), welcoming the Defiance Yellow Jackets to town for an afternoon showdown. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
