ANDERSON, Ind. – The Franklin volleyball team resumed Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) play on Saturday (Oct. 14) afternoon, taking on the Anderson Ravens.
The Grizzlies (7-13, 1-2 HCAC) struggled to get their offense going all afternoon, dropping a straight-set decision to the Ravens (10-10, 2-1 HCAC) 25-17, 25-17, 25-20.
Hope Moring led Franklin with 10 kills and hit a team-best .310 on the afternoon. But the Grizzly attack only managed a .059 hitting percentage on the day.
Miranda Wilson finished just short of joining Moring in double digits, putting away nine kills.
Brionna Linkel had a team-high 13 assists.
Campbell Clark led the back line with 15 digs, followed by 14 from Moring and a career-high 12 digs for
Hannah Phegley. Phegley led the service group with a pair of aces.
Franklin is back at home on Tuesday (Oct. 17) evening, taking on the Manchester Spartans in a critical HCAC showdown. The Grizzlies won a non-conference matchup between the two teams earlier this year, winning in five sets at Manchester.
