FRANKLIN - The 2023 Franklin women's lacrosse schedule was released on Wednesday (Jan. 18) afternoon and is highlighted by eight of the 13 matches set to take place at Faught Stadium this spring.
The Grizzlies open the year with four straight on their home turf, with the opening draw coming on Mar. 4 at 1:00 p.m. against Concordia Wisconsin. The first 8 days of the season will be busy for the Griz, as they are set to welcome Concorida Chicago (Mar. 8), Midland (Mar. 10) and St. Ambrose (Mar. 12) to town before a 13-day break. Non-conference play wraps up with a road game at Thomas More on Mar. 25, a home contest with Augustana on Mar. 30 and a road game at Elmhurst on Apr. 1.
Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) play begins on Apr. 8 when Franklin hosts Hanover in a meeting of last year's HCLC semifinal game. Other league home games will see Franklin take on Transylvania (Apr. 22) and Earlham (Apr. 29) while the league's road slate will send the Griz to Mt. St. Joseph (Apr. 15), Anderson (Apr. 19) and Spalding (Apr. 26).
