Box Score GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Franklin volleyball team made their final stop before the home opener on Tuesday (Sept. 6) night, making the short drive to Neal Fieldhouse for a meeting with in-state rival DePauw.
Freshman
Kaitlyn Lavy posted her second straight double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs, but the Grizzlies (1-3) couldn't grab the road win, falling to the Tigers (3-2) in four sets 25-21, 25-15, 22-25, 25-11.
Facing a 2-0 hole, the Grizzlies barreled out of the gate to start the third set, taking four of the first five points to grab a lead they would hold the rest of the game. Franklin would lead by as many as six points in the third game on the strength of a .333 attacking percentage to force game four. But the visitors would fall behind early in the final game and DePauw would close things out.
