FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Franklin women's tennis team made their fall debut on Saturday (Sept. 10) afternoon, welcoming the Trine Thunder and Webster Gorlocks to Grizzly Park for a pair of regional matches.
The Grizzlies (0-2) dropped a 9-0 decision to Trine in the morning and a rain-shortened 5-2 match with Webster in the afternoon. Freshman
Emma Back was part of both Grizzly points in the match with Webster, teaming with
Maecee Terhune for an 8-7 (11-9) win in No. 2 doubles play and a 6-4,6-3 win at the No. 2 singles spot for her first two career points.
The Grizzlies are off until next Saturday (Sept. 17), when they hit the road to open Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) play with a showdown against the Manchester Spartans. First serve is set for 10:00 a.m.
