FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Franklin men's tennis team opened their fall schedule on Saturday (Sept. 10) with a pair of home matches against in-region foes Trine and Webster.
The Grizzlies (0-2) dropped both legs of their double-header, falling 8-1 to Trine and 6-0 to Webster in a rain-shortened afternoon session. Getting the first individual win of the fall for the Grizzlies was the sophomore tandem of
Nathan Jarboe and
Owen Pickerill, who teamed up for an 8-6 win at the No. 3 doubles spot in the Trine match.Â
The Grizzly men will resume their fall schedule on Sept. 25, when they welcome the Olivet Comets to Grizzly Park. First serve is set for noon.Â
