Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College men's basketball team closed out a four-game homestand on Wednesday (Feb. 9) night, welcoming the league-leading Panthers of Hanover College to the Spurlock Center.
The Grizzlies (9-13, 5-10 HCAC) struggled to shut down the Panthers (17-3, 13-2 HCAC), with Hanover taking a 92-67 decision.
How it Happened
Early baskets from Matt Krause and TJ Deere got the Grizzlies off to a good start but momentum shifted in a hurry with a 13-2 Hanover run that made it 16-6 Panthers with 12 minutes to go in the first half. The Grizzlies fought hard to get back into the game, cutting deficit to as little as five following a Ryan Wiggins bucket that made it 27-22 with 4:34.to go in the half.
But a five-point swing in the final 10 seconds of the first half proved costly for the Grizzlies, as Hanover took a 41-27 lead into the break and never saw their lead fall into single digits the rest of the night.

-Franklin knocked down 41.3% (26-for-63) of their field goals, knocking down nine three-pointers on the night.
-Wiggins and Lynn King tied for the team lead with 11 points with TJ Deere adding 10 on the night.
-Rebounds were 39-31 in the Panthers' favor. Wiggins and Matt Krause shared the team lead with five boards each.
