FRANKLIN – The Franklin men's basketball team matched up with the Manchester Spartans on Saturday (Dec. 10) afternoon in a matchup of two teams looking to stay unbeaten in conference play.

Trey Flatt went for a career-high 23 points and fellow sophomore
Lynn King recorded his first double-double of the year with 15 points and 11 rebounds. But the Grizzlies (4-4, 1-1 HCAC) couldn't cool off the Spartans (4-4, 4-0 HCAC) in the second half, falling 78-74.
How it Happened
The story of the first half was the Spartans' offensive performance, as they shot 56.7% from the field and knocked down six first half threes. Flatt had 13 of his points in the first 20 minutes and Franklin knocked down eight threes, but they faced a 45-31 deficit at the intermission.
Franklin clawed back to within six early in the second half but a Manchester run stretched the lead back to double figures. Manchester kept the Grizzlies at arm's length until the final 30 seconds of regulation, with the home side running out of time in search of the comeback.

-Flatt went 8-for-14 from the floor and knocked down a team-high four threes on the night. The Indianapolis-native also handed out a team-leading four assists on the night.
-King picked up the first double-double of his career and recorded double digit rebounds for the second time this year.
