FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College football team wrapped up their season on Saturday afternoon with the 92
nd installment of the Victory Bell Game and Senior Day with the Hanover Panthers in town.
The Grizzlies (4-6, 4-3 HCAC) struggled to get the offense going all afternoon, falling to the Panthers (5-5, 5-2 HCAC) by a 24-3 count.
How it Happened
Franklin's first chance to get on the score sheet came facing a 7-0 deficit in the second quarter, but their drive ended without points as a Derek Baldin field goal sailed wide left. The Grizzlies remained scoreless until the first drive of the second half when Baldin connected on a 21-yard field goal to make it 17-3, but the Grizzlies were held in check the rest of the way.

-The Panthers controlled the play in the trenches, out-gaining the Griz 452-195.
-Kai Ross went 19-for-38 for 136 yard throwing the ball.
-Jarrett Gibson topped the Grizzlies with five grabs on the day.
-Dawson Dallape hauled in a career-high four passes for 40 yards.
-Senior Kody Wilkerson led the Griz defense with 12 tackles, picking up two tackles for loss.
-Before the game, the Griz football program said thank you to senior players Wilkerson, Ryus Moore, Dylan Boswell, Jake Tharp, Chase Miles, David Carpenter, Gibson, Aaron Black, Cam Johnson, Justin Case, Adam Frey, Armani Christopher, Tyler Welty and Levi Byrne along with student assistants Catherine Hughes and Keegan Siegfred.
