FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin men's tennis team welcome the St. Francis Cougars to Grizzly Park on Saturday (Oct. 8) to close out a busy homecoming weekend.
The Grizzlies (0-4) and Cougars (3-8) needed four tie-breakers throughout the match. Unfortunately for the home side, St. Francis took all five of those points to leave town with a 7-2 win.
In doubles play, the team of
Ezra Schwier and
Lucas Densford got Franklin on the board with an 8-4 win at the No. 2 spot in the lineup. Sophomore
Owen Pickerill grabbed the Grizzlies' other point of the day with a 7-5, 6-3 victory at the No. 3 spot in singles play.
Franklin wraps up their fall schedule on Saturday, Oct. 22, when they host the Royals of Johnson University (TN). First serve is set for noon.
