DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Franklin College volleyball team closed out the 2022 season on Saturday (Oct. 29), taking on the Defiance Yellow Jackets.
The Grizzlies dropped their finale in straight sets to Defiance, falling 25-22, 25-21, 25-22. The game was decided by the discrepancy on the attack, with Franklin hitting .063 to .205 for the host Yellow Jackets.
Miranda Wilson and
Kaitlyn Lavy tied for the team lead with eight kills each followed by seven from
Chloe Holder and six from
Alyssa Zemlyak. Three Grizzlies took part in their final career matches, with
Billie Jarrett topping the team with 23 assists and four aces, Savannah Van Hoy leading the team with 11 digs and
Alivia Brown picking up three kills.
Campbell Clark added 10 digs for the Griz while Zemlyak led the net front defense with a pair of blocks.
Franklin closes the season with an 8-16 mark.
