HANOVER, Ind. – The Franklin College men's basketball team wrapped up a two-game road trip on Wednesday (Jan. 12) night, taking on Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference leading Hanover in another meeting between the long-time rivals.

The Grizzlies (7-7, 3-4 HCAC) had three players finish the night in double figures, but the visiting squad was overwhelmed by the host Panthers (10-2, 6-1 HCAC) in the second half in an 81-57 Hanover win.

How it Happened
The Grizzlies opened the contest with seven of its first nine points, but a 9-0 Hanover run would put the home side in front for the rest of the night. The Panthers' lead grew to as many as 12 in the opening period, but Franklin would claw back within single digits and headed into the break facing a 36-28 deficit.

A jumper from Ty Wright opened the second half and brought the Grizzlies within six, but the game was put out of reach by a 13-3 Hanover run that made it an 18-point game with 14 minutes left to play.
