Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College men's soccer team closed out a weekend of back-to-back contests with a Sunday (Sept. 5) matchup against the Trine Thunder.
The Grizzlies (0-3) fell behind the Thunder (2-1) early and played catch up the rest of the afternoon with the Thunder leaving town with a 5-0 win. Trine got the jump with two goals just 3:04 apart in the opening 20 minutes that set the tone for the rest of the afternoon.
The Thunder held a 15-6 advantage in shots with the Grizzlies recording three shots on target. Jon Moore topped all FC attackers with a pair of shot attempts. Making his first start of the year in goal, Ian Rowe matched a career-high with six saves.
Franklin is back in action on Wednesday (Sept. 8) night when they make the short journey to Greencastle, Ind. to take on the DePauw Tigers. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
