Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College women's soccer team closed out their scheduled slate of matches on Wednesday (Mar. 31) night with a showdown against the Transylvania Pioneers under the lights at Faught Stadium.
In a matchup of two teams near the top of the conference table, neither side was able to find the net and the game ended in a 0-0 draw. The result moves Franklin to 4-2-1 for the spring season across seven HCAC games with Transylvania ending their spring slate with a 5-2-1 mark in league matches.
How it Happened
The bulk of the first half was spent in the midfield as neither side was able to sustain consistent pressure on offense. The teams combined for one first half shot on goal, a long-distance shot by the Pioneers that Franklin goalkeeper Brianna Rogers turned away with ease.
The pace picked up in the second half and Rogers was up to the task, stopping two Transy shots on target in the opening five minutes of play. Franklin's best chance of the night came in the 74th minute when outside back Kinsey Price broke in down the right wing and put a shot on target in tight that was turned away.
Both sides recorded a shot on target from deep in double overtime but the game would end the way it started.

-Rogers made five stops in goal for Franklin, recording her fourth straight shutout and fifth clean sheet of the campaign. The Grizzlies have not allowed a goal in more than 380 minutes of in-game action.
-Shot attempts were 12-6 in the Pioneers' favor with Transy holding a 5-4 edge in shots on target. Price, Kaitlyn Hewitt, Elaina Page and Lilly Haines all recorded shots on goal for FC.
