Box Score BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Franklin College women's soccer team made their final road venture of the 2021 spring season on Wednesday (Mar. 24) afternoon for a matchup with the Bluffton Beavers.
Franklin (3-2) turned in an impressive 90-minute showing, keeping the Beavers (0-5-1) off the score sheet and closing out a 3-0 win for their second straight victory.
How it Happened
The Beavers held the early advantage on the shot chart with three shots on goal to one for Franklin in the first 25 minutes. Brianna Rogers turned aside all three of those shots and she got some help from the offense in the 27th minute when Katelyn Duff pounded home a Lilly Haines pass for her team-leading third goal of the year and a 1-0 Franklin lead.
Haines struck less than two minutes into the second half, gathering in a loose ball off a corner kick and depositing a shot into the cage for her first goal of the year. The Grizzlies got an insurance tally in the 67th minute courtesy of center back Dianna Rollag, when the sophomore ripped a free kick from 40 yards out that found its way into the top right corner for her first career goal.

-Haines led all Franklin attackers with three shot attempts and two shots on goal. Attempts were 10-6 in Bluffton's favor with both teams putting five shots on goal.
-Rogers was credited with the win after stopping three shots in just under 60 minutes of action. Freshman Riley Rice took over in goal for the final 31:45, making the first two saves of her career.
