Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College men's soccer team used a flurry of goals to collect their first league win of the year on Saturday (Oct. 9) with a 6-0 win over Earlham.
Jon Moore and Dillon Neel both scored twice and Angel Tapia set a program record with four assists for the Grizzlies (3-7-1, 1-2-1 HCAC) as they buried the Quakers (0-11, 0-4 HCAC) in goals early and often. Logan Ramsey and Eddy Yousak added their first goals of the year for the Griz offense.
How it Happened
The Grizzlies opened the scoring just 2:37 in when Neel hammered home a through ball from Tapia and the lead grew to a pair in the 14th minute when Moore rifled a shot into the top right corner. In the 20th minute, Yousak made it a three-goal game when he re-directed a through ball from Tapia capping the first half scoring.
The onslaught continued in the second half with set piece from Neel and Ramsey in the 57th and 66th minutes, respectively. Moore capped the scoring late, finishing off a gorgeous passing sequence.

-Moore is up to a team-high eight goals on the year and sits two shy of tying the single-season record for most in a season, set by Grant Krevda in 2010.
-Not only are Tapia's four assists the most in a single game in school history, but it gives him a share of the single season record for assists with Austin Fundenberger. Fundenberger set the record back in 2015.
-Ramsey's goal was the first of his career and he became the third Grizzly center back to record a goal this year, joining sophomores Noah Harris and Kobe Darnold.
-Shots for the day were 17-4 in Franklin's favor.
-Elliott Clark and Ian Rowe combined for the clean sheet, with Rowe taking part in his first career shutout. The sophomore keeper kept Earlham scoreless in the final minute, stopping an Earlham penalty kick.
