Box Score LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Franklin College volleyball team wrapped up their road trip on Wednesday (Oct. 6) night with a matchup against perennial league power Transylvania University.
The Grizzlies (8-11, 0-2 HCAC) struggled to get going in a three-set loss to the Pioneers (12-8, 2-0 HCAC), 25-22, 25-15, 25-12. Miranda Wilson led the Franklin attack with eight kills and tied for the team lead with a .250 hitting percentage on a night where the Grizzlies swung at a .147 clip as a team.
Billie Jarrett led the Grizzlies with 20 assists and Allison Thompson had a team-leading 15 digs. Chloe Holder topped all Franklin middles with a pair of blocks.
The Grizzlies are back in action at home on Saturday (Oct. 9), when they host the Bluffton Beavers. First serve from the Spurlock Center is set for 1:00 p.m.
